Shop Local This Holiday Season — Small Business Saturday Lehigh Valley
Happy Small Business Saturday, Lehigh Valley! This is one of my favorite days of the year — a day dedicated to supporting the local businesses that make our communities vibrant, unique, and personal. As someone who has been part of this business community for more than 36 years, I know how important it is to shop local. Every dollar you spend at a local business stays in our community, supports your neighbors, and strengthens the Lehigh Valley economy.
Shopping Districts in Bethlehem, Allentown, and Easton
The Lehigh Valley boasts some of the best shopping districts in eastern Pennsylvania. Here is where to find them:
- 🛒 Bethlehem Main Street & South Side — Downtown Bethlehem is a treasure trove of independent boutiques, galleries, and specialty shops. The Moravian Book Shop, one of the oldest continuously operating bookstores in America, is a must-visit. The South Side arts district along East Third Street features galleries, vintage shops, and artisan studios.
- 🛒 Allentown Arts District & Hamilton Street — Downtown Allentown’s revitalization has brought new shops, restaurants, and creative spaces to the Hamilton Street corridor and surrounding blocks.
- 🛒 Easton Centre Square & Northampton Street — Easton’s historic downtown is walkable and packed with independent restaurants, shops, and galleries. The Easton Farmers’ Market, one of the oldest continuously operating farmers’ markets in the nation, operates on Saturday mornings during the warmer months.
- 🛒 Nazareth Main Street — A charming small-town shopping district with local businesses and the Martin Guitar factory nearby.

The Shop Local Spirit
Shopping local is about more than transactions — it is about relationships. The same spirit that drives a family to choose a local bakery over a chain also drives families to work with a local real estate agent who truly knows their community. When you shop and work local, you are investing in the people, places, and institutions that make the Lehigh Valley home.
This Small Business Saturday, I encourage you to explore your local shopping districts, discover new businesses, and support the entrepreneurs who make our communities special. And if real estate is on your mind, remember — I am a local business owner too, and I would be honored to earn your trust.
